# Escrow Contracts

The OpenPeer protocol is a collection of contracts that enables people to connect and trade between fiat and crypto.

Overtime more contracts will be added to the protocol as we progressively decentralise. Currently our escrow mechanism is decentralised through two contracts. A Deployer contract factory that deploys an individual escrow per trade.
